Why are we different?

In this page we explain why do we have the
Best Ice Rinks

  • In Very N'Ice, we have designed a refrigeration floor system that is completely different to all the existing ones in the market. From the detailed calculations of the hydraulics of the system, through the machinery (chiller and pumps) to the freezing system that produces the best ice and a double system of insulation that assures us that there will never be water inside or outside the Ice Rink.
  • Our refrigeration floor sits on a thermal insulating plate, which assures us that the cold is not lost and goes "up", where the ice must form, and does not lose energy by freezing the ground where it is supported.
  • All the intricate system of pipes, kilometers long, is made 100% in tempered aluminum of 2 mm of wall, which is unalterable, there is no possibility of leakage of coolant and has a durability of many years without the need of any maintenance, with a thermal transfer close to 100%, being one of the best temperature drivers.
  • We do not have any elements on the outside of the Ice Rink. The collectors (tubes that distribute the coolant in the pipes) are inside the same ice, producing cold. The rink is connected only with two tubes that carry and bring this liquid, which are thermally insulated so that the cold goes where it should: to the ice rink, to produce and keep the ice always PERFECT.
  • We should think that the whole set, ice rink and machinery, as a single machine: with this formula: incoming energy is equal to the outgoing energy plus the losses. We can see this very easily in the chiller's screen, where we never have more than 1º C difference between the input and the output. Almost perfect. ALL the other systems in the market lose between 3 to 5ºC, and that means loss, of energy, of resources and in short, of money and of ice quality. In the photos you will understand why.
  • Do not be fooled. Companies that sell ice rinks will show you pictures of ice rinks with wonderful ice, which sometimes is true, but most do not.
  • The magic does not exist: each ice rink is different due to many factors, including the outside temperature and humidity, it is impossible for an ice rink with all its details to be installed in 2 or 3 days. That is a ROTUNE FAILURE, because they will have a lot of problems: water on and off the rink, excessive electrical consumption, ice in the pipes and collectors that are in either of the two headers ... But this will not be telled or downplayed.
  • Your Ice Rink is an important investment and it does not make sense to pay for a mediocre thing and you can have the best: Very N'Ice assures you in writing in YOUR contract.

Details that make us different: Here you can see a typical floor (of almost all the ice rinks that are offered), rubber (EPDM), which can be white or black, it does not matter. It is punctured and has losses of the cooling solution, because the material is stressed by temperatures. Pay attention that it is mounted directly on the ground, wasting energy, and the barriers rest on the rubber and are supported only by the ice.
Nor is there anything that contains the water that will certainly come out from under the fences, before the least thawing.

In general, they cover them so they can not be seen, but the ice grows without stopping and there are cases that lift the same covers.

Off-rink collectors: In the other header, the rubber rolls that "exceed" the length of the ice rink. They also freeze uselessly, waste energy and only cover them with a wooden box so that they can not be seen.
Also note that the barriers are only supported on the rubber, without fixings of any kind, except that the ice contains them.

Pipes without isolation: Another reason to lose energy and money in electricity.
The tubes that connect the machinery to the ice rink are not thermally insulated, which will produce an endless layer of ice on itself, which can melt in water if the sun strikes it directly. Please check the wet floor.

You are the one who will pay the consequences ... in money and in a mediocre event.

The ice rink was set up in 3 days and these are the results.
The barriers tied with wires to each other and twisted, the panels with glue, loose in several places, and in areas where the rink's floor does not freeze, simply sand.
So that you do not see the disaster below, a little synthetic turf fixes everything ...
This really is an extreme: such a thing is unacceptable, but someone have paid for it.
